Scam Buster — a free scam awareness game

Scam Buster is a free interactive game from Near Health that teaches you to recognise the online and phone scams most common in India. You play as one of five characters — a retired banker, a busy professional, an entrepreneur, a grandmother and a college student — and decide whether each message or call is genuine or a scam.

The 20 scenarios cover KYC update demands, UPI and QR-code payment fraud, fake electricity bill disconnection notices, courier and customs calls, pension life certificate scams, lottery wins, family emergency calls and job offers that are too good to be true. Each answer explains the red flags so you know what to look for next time. The game is available in English, Hindi and Bengali.
